Short on time but craving the safari experience? This 3-day adventure is designed to give you a taste of Tanzania’s rich wildlife and scenic beauty. Visit two of the northern circuit’s most iconic parks—Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater—on a compact yet unforgettable journey.
You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Arusha or directly from the airport, beginning your scenic journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to the Serengeti. The drive takes approximately 7 to 8 hours, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy game viewing along the way as you enter the park. Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, you'll check in to your tented camp or lodge for an overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be provided as you settle into the heart of the wilderness.
Spend the day exploring the vast, wildlife-rich plains of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives, offering excellent chances to spot the Big Five and a wide variety of other animals in their natural habitat. For a truly unforgettable experience, you may also opt for a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (available at an additional cost and requires early booking). After a thrilling day in the wild, return to the same camp or lodge for a relaxing evening. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will be provided.
After an early breakfast and check-out, you'll depart Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll descend into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive. This unique ecosystem is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, offering the chance to spot rhinos, lions, elephants, and many more species in a breathtaking setting. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor before beginning your journey back to Arusha in the afternoon, with an expected drive time of approximately 4 to 5 hours. You'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
