Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your guide will warmly welcome you before embarking on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village. Upon arrival, Maasai elders will greet you with traditional hospitality, offering a glimpse into their rich culture. Settle in and unwind as you take in the serene surroundings of the village. As night falls, enjoy a traditional Maasai dinner under the stars, accompanied by storytelling and the sounds of the African wilderness.

Start your day with a half-day Maasai cultural experience, immersing yourself in the vibrant traditions of the Maasai people. Witness traditional dances and storytelling, learn about warrior training and herbal medicine, and visit a Maasai homestead ("boma") to experience their daily way of life. By late morning, depart for Enduimet Wildlife Management Area on a 1- hour scenic drive. Upon arrival, embark on a guided walking safari, allowing you to explore the stunning landscapes on foot while learning about local flora, animal tracks, and Maasai coexistence with wildlife. Later, enjoy a game drive through this hidden wildlife corridor, where you may encounter large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, and possibly predators, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afternoon drive to Arusha, overnight at a lodge.

Overnight: Outpost Lodge

Depart early for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 3-4 hour drive from Arusha, known for its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Spend the day on a full-day game drive, exploring the park’s vast savannahs and iconic baobab-dotted plains. Encounter massive elephant herds, often seen roaming near the Tarangire River, alongside other wildlife like buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras. Keep an eye out for predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, stealthily navigating the terrain in search of prey. With over 500 bird species, from colorful lilac-breasted rollers to rare kori bustards, Tarangire is a paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts. Sunset at the park before heading to your lodge.

Embark on a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the endless plains of the savannah. Upon arrival in the Seronera region (Central Serengeti), set out on an afternoon game drive in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich areas. This vast ecosystem is home to the legendary Big Five— lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as swift cheetahs, elusive hyenas, and massive herds of herbivores such as wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. As the sun sets over the Serengeti, witness the raw beauty of nature unfold across the golden plains.

Overnight: Tukaone Tented Camp

Start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness predators in action as lions, leopards, and cheetahs hunt in the cool morning hours. Depending on the season, explore different regions of the Serengeti— head to the Northern Serengeti (July–October) for a chance to see the dramatic Great Migration river crossings, or venture to the Southern Serengeti (December–March) to witness the wildebeest calving season, where thousands of newborns attract predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. In the evening, embark on another game drive, taking in the golden hues of the Serengeti sunset before returning to Lodge for a well-earned rest.

Then, begin the scenic drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through rolling savannahs and Maasai villages. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive, where you may spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, along with hippos, zebras, and large herbivore herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, taking in the stunning crater views. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and continue the journey back to Arusha, arriving in the evening for an overnight stay before your flight to Zanzibar the next day.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel, perhaps with stunning views of the coastline, before resting up for the exciting activities that lie ahead in Zanzibar.

After breakfast, embark on a Spice Tour at a local farm, where you'll learn about Zanzibar’s famous exports like cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Experience the vibrant culture of traditional Swahili cooking and savor fresh, tropical fruits. Then, transfer to Nungwi Beach in the north, renowned for its pristine, white sands and crystal-clear waters. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the beach, swimming, or enjoying beach activities. For the adventurous, optional activities include snorkeling, diving, or visiting the Mnarani Turtle Conservation Center.
